A/N: I'm moving to my blog at Tumblr now but I'm not going to delete my old blog at Blogger. It's got a priceless value and I'll leave it here for me, you and anybody who would want to read it in future.

1999/2000
"I am in kindergaten. Among the 4 children in my family, only 3 were born then. When we were children, we used to stay at my grandmother's place a lot. My auntie had not been married then and we loved to raid the video cabinet, searching for entertainment. I found this video. It looked scary but intriguing. I looked at Michael and thought he was woman. I thought the video was a horror movie. Naturally as a child I wanted to watch the video, scary-looking or not. I ended up loving that video and watched it repeatedly. Both the video and the making of the video. My auntie told me that man in the video is Michael Jackson. The King of Pop."

I am now in Secondary 3. I am more knowledgable than I was in kindergarten. I've heard talk about Michael Jackson. Him going through multiple facial surgeries. Him bleaching himself. Him not bleaching himself but having a skin condition. Him getting caught in a fire. Him being made fun of in Eminem's video. Him taking advantage of children. Him converting to Islam. True or not true, I still have that respect for him as I did when I heard of him in kindergarten. I think as a fan, you tend to overlook all the bad he's done. Michael Jackson had become one of my idols. He is truly the King of Pop. A legend. An iconic man. I think Michael Jackson's death was on CNN or BBC the whole day. When I heard he died, I was shocked. I hardly expected him to pass on this soon. He's now free from the scrutiny of this mad world and its media but the world has just lost a very talented and unique man.

I miss blogging.
I'm watching this on Saturday. If my mom would let me, anyway. Apparently, everybody is going gaga about T2. FYI, I'm not one of them. If it's a good movie, it's a good movie. I don't mind watching a good movie. My sister watched it with her class and she's going gaga about T2 now, but more importantly about Shia Labeouf. Nadia's been a true blue fan of the movie and series since I don't know when. Nad, remember when you brought mini Bumblebee to school in Sec 1? She kept assembling it to a robot then to a car and then back to a robot.
Anyway, I'm more of a fan of movies of the comedy and investigation genre. Not comedies like Land of the Lost, mind you. That movie isn't even funny. It's lame like shit. Anyway, good movies are like movies based on Dan Brown's literature. Compared to A&D, I think that The Da Vinci Code is better but at the same time, more provocative. It's a very conflicting issue, by the way. The movie and its contents, I mean. If you thought the movie revolved around Leornado Da Vinci and his artwork like I did initially, I'm here to correct that common misconception. Like A&D, the movie is about religions. Namely, Christianity. In a nutshell, the movie is about the conflict of their Lord's mortality. If he's divine or only man. I've warned you; it's very provocative. But I can bet it's entirely fiction and based on a myth. I want to read the last book in the Robert Langdon series; The Lost Symbol, I think. By the way, I think Tom Hanks is a perfect potrayal of Robert Langdon. FYI, he's one of my favourite actors.

Thank you for Kiwi; I ♥ you.
"Love."
"What is love? I don't know. Everybody has their own definition and really, that's the way it should be. You can't look up the word "love" in a dictionary and expect an accurate definition. That definition will probably be wrong. I don't know what's your definition of love but I'll tell you mine. Love isn't only for your girlfriend or boyfriend or life companion. It can be for your family, your friend or even your pet. I'm still finding out what I think love is but the only thing I can figure out for now is that if somebody loves you, they'll accept you for who you are and they'll make you feel like the most special body on Earth. When you love somebody, they can irritate the hell out of you at one moment but you know deep in your heart that you can't live without them. And that's the only thing I can conclude for now. I'm still learning."

Why can't you stop crying?
Why can't you stop fighting?
Why can't you stop controlling people?
Why can't you stop acting like a baby as opposed to how old you are?
Why can't you just accept the fact that the world is not revolving around you?

I need to go out. I can't stand my crybaby of a brother.
I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE. NOW.
study date with mel.
Sunday, June 21, 2009, 2:01:00 PM
This June I've been very pathetic and apart from going out with my own family, I've only been out to do my Malay project. I'm that pathetic. I had a feeling I couldn't go out on Friday and I suggested to Melissa that we should have a study date at my place. It wasn't an ideal occasion for a reunion but she didn't mind and that's one of the many things I love about Melissa Chua.
While Mel did her Chemistry, I finished up what was left of my essays. We did a lot of catching up and had a lot of laughs like we used to. Like it should be. It didn't take long before our tummies started grumbling (actually mine grumbled way before) and we walked to Central to buy lunch. After completing more homework and a bit of digressing, we finally decided to on the laptop and watch Slumdog Millionaire. I remembered I used to not want to watch Slumdog Millionaire because I thought it would be something like a Bollywood movie and I don't like Bollywood movies after watching too much of it in my childhood (Thank you, Mak Uda). But it's not something like or a Bollywood movie at all. I really love it and if you haven't watched it yet, you should watch it now! I think the child Jamal is really cute.

It's 16th June and 3.07PM here.
What date and time is it there?
dedicated to lady gaga.
Sunday, June 14, 2009, 1:07:00 PM
DO YOU RECOGNISE THIS WOMAN?
That's right. It's the one and only Lady Gaga.
She's in Singapore and today she'll officially be performing for one night only at her "Dome of Dubai" concert. Believe it or not, a dome was really built for that concert. Apart from her lightning bolt, I think Lady Gaga's trademark would be her ribbons and bows. Have you noticed that? I'm sure you have.
I remember when I heard "Just Dance", I thought an African-American woman sang the song. I found out it wasn't an African-American woman at all but a pure American woman by the name of Lady Gaga. I was like, "Lady Gaga? What kind of name is that?" Gradually, she moved up the charts, became known as a style icon and suddenly everything about her was glam. From her ribbons and bows and her "cherry, cherry, boom, boom".
I recently bought the June/July issue of NYLON and in their "mass appeal" section was Lady Gaga. And when I turned to the next page, it was Katy Perry. By the way, they have 3 mass appeals every month. I was like, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I look at one page and I see Lady Gaga and when I turn to the next page I see Katy Perry!" How cool is that. Anyway, I thought that since Lady Gaga's having her concert in Singapore today, why not type an entry dedicated to her? If you're going to her concert tonight, I envy you a lot. If you're above 13 and below 20 and haven't heard any of Lady Gaga's songs, I think you're very deprived. To end off my entry for today, I'll put up a video of Lady Gaga's latest single, "Love Game":
Now if and when Katy Perry comes to Singapore, I'll dedicate an entry to her too.

8 MORE DAYS AND COUNTING.
With rogue, vanilla and a bit of chocolate fondue, I'll pretty much make myself beautiful for you.
malay project and at wani's.
, 9:46:00 AM
As you can tell, we finally went to Pasir Ris Park to do our Malay project. Nope, we weren't dancing or filming a video. We were working on our brochure component. And the more I use my cam, the more I find that Uncle Fahmy's Panasonic Lumix is much better than my own cam.
We were madly hungry and had to stop by Burger King to buy something to eat. Ain dropped by Subway to buy her cookie. To tell you the truth, I've been wondering what's so nice about the Subway cookies that everybody's going gaga about it. Now I know. It's big, aromatic and madly delicious. I want to buy a lot of my own.
One stop we made at Pasir Ris Park was the Mangrove Swamp. Sec 3s! Do you remember going there when we were Sec 2? It brought back a strong sense of nostalgia. I miss those times. I miss 2/7'08. Anyway, the highlight of events that happened in the Mangrove Swamp, other than our excessive camwhoring, was the appearence of a Komodo Dragon. A small one, according to Hafizah. It didn't chase us like we expected it to. Thank god.
At the entrance, I took this picture:
Gah! Ain's so cute!
We then made our way to Wani's home to continue with the brochure. Wani showed us the big camera her dad found and we used it to camwhore. How lucky can Wani be to find a free camera in good condition? He only had to buy the charger!
NOW, SPOT THE SQUIRREL!
Maybe that one was too easy to spot.
Now let me give you something a bit harder,
SPOT THE CRAB!
one that I haven't quite spot yet too.
All I know is that it's supposed to be around there.
Nadia called me. She was on the way to E!hub to meet the 29126 for the movie marathon but she took the wrong bus. It's good that she could even go. I'm confined at home and forced to clean Billie and Beanie Bob's poop and cage. I'll spend this time doing my EL and ML homework then. And maybe bake cakes and make ice cream with my mom. And maybe rent Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and 27 Dresses from Video Ezy. Ciao.

"How is it like in that 'Maoriland', baby? Even with snow, is the sun shining?
Is it as scenematic as Ireland?
I hope that you're not crying;
Don't worryandbe happy."
It's only been a day but it feels like a month. After all, how can that much happen in a day?
"nobody, nobody but you!"
Friday, June 5, 2009, 7:38:00 PM
You know how everybody from Sec 1 to Sec 3 have to do an MT project? The Sec 3s have to do a project on attractions in Pasir Ris. My group chose to do Pasir Ris Park. One of the project's components is to make a video of the chosen destination. Ain suggested we make or imitate an MV for "Nobody". If you watched the video on top, it might look cool and all. But the thought of having an MV of you and your dancing possibly being shown at the Learning Festival is very, very humiliating.
I mean, what if we end up looking as gay as this?:
Dancing to "Nobody" in Pasir Ris Park. Ain, you're more daring than in Sec 1 and 2!

I fixed a heart. A heart-shaped puzzle keychain. Wani, it isn't easy to fix. It took me 3 days to figure it out. But I guess I'm slow; I gave Nabil a big globe puzzle for his birthday and he fixed it in one day. Anyway, I have an SS essay test on Northern Ireland and Sri Lanka soon. I really hope I can get B3 and above. I'm not happy at all with my SS grade this term. By the way, it's a disappointing C5.
Speaking of Northern Ireland, Ms Chua showed us the MV for The Cranberries' "Zombie". She said it's one of her favourite bands. Initially the song didn't ring a bell at all. Gradually when I heard the chorus, the repetitive angry shouting of a word that I couldn't really hear, I went: "Oh! That song!"
The Cranberries is a band from Northern Ireland and the song "Zombie" is on the effect of the conflict on the community. You should read the Wikipedia article on the MV: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombie_(song).
welcome and welcome back.

I GOT A NEW PHONE, MY NOKIA E75!Xiaxue recently bought a Blackberry. And Xiaxue being Xiaxue, she blingified it. But that's one thing we know and love her for. Anyway, the way she blogged about the Blackberry made it seem too cool. All this time I had this impression that Blackberrys are all-work-no-play type of phones.

That's a womb. My mom's womb.
Nothing happened to my mom; she's only impotent now. She's alive, well and in good health and I couldn't be happier. My dad's not at home now. He went to fetch my mom. I'll end this entry by saying,
suckass.

Zurhairi approaches Mrs Tan for help on a sum. While teaching, Zurhairi walks back to his table.
Mrs Tan: Zurhairi! Come back, don't use your calculator. Zurhairi walks back. Mrs Tan: Now, what is 5 divided by 1?
HAHAHA!
But I can't blame Zurhairi. I've been too dependant on my calculator too. I mean, in a sum there's bound to be a bit of simple calculation. And when we have the luxury of a calculator, we might as well make use of that luxury. I end up pressing 6 x 8 into the calculator. It's a wonder why I got a C for Arithmetic.

OH.MY.GOD.
Jackson Rathbone and Taylor Lautner looks hotter in New Moon. Hottie-hot-hotties. Anyway, I only found the trailer while blog-hopping and I only knew about the new movie when Bapa told me. Even if Bapa didn't tell me, I would have heard it from Kimberly and her Twilight-fanatic-mate.
By the way, I sit behind Kimberly everyday during morning assembly. She's #9 and I'm #10. Yeah. Anyway, She and her mate from 3/4 would go on and on about something new about Twilight. Everyday. And everyday will be a new thing about Twilight. I don't remember being that mad about Twilight in Sec 2. I don't even remember the last time I actually wanted to find out something new about Twilight. Although being a fan of Twilight is something symbolic to me. Like a milestone in my life. In my Sec 2 life, particularly. Something that happened in 2008.
OH.MY.GOD.
I think I'm rambling to avoid story-telling about how my day sucked today. I mean, I'm hardly thinking about Twilight, Kimberly and milestones in my life. Somebody save me.
